Oral/Written Presentation Topics

Students will make a selection from the list below and write a brief summary on it (minimum two pages typed, double-spaced), as well as provide a brief oral discussion in class. If you would like to do a topic that is not on the list that is fine. Just check with me first and show me the topic so I can determine which unit it belongs in.  Many of the links are located at the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.  Occasionally, they will ask you to fill out a form before you can access the website.  You can use your real information if you want, or you can just make up a name to get to the website.  As a reminder when writing your summary, if the article you choose is from a few years ago and they use the phrase “last week” or “this year” please adjust your writing to reflect the time changes.  Finally, if a link is not working please contact me so I can fix it. Please don’t wait until the night before it is do to let me know a link doesn’t work.

To submit your paper, you need to use the “article summary paper” links inside Blackboard.  Then click that link, then the “browse my computer” button to attach your paper. Then click the “submit” button.
